HOLLAND & HOLLAND .410 (SMOOTHBORED) CONVERTED SINGLE-BARRELLED SIDELEVER HAMMER ROOK & RABBIT RIFLE, serial no. 10783, circa 1910, converted from .295 semi-smooth bore, 26in. octagonal to round nitro reproved barrel, bead fore-sight, rear sight removed and dovetail insert, matted sight flat, the adjacent flats engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98 NEW BOND ST. WINNERS OF ALL THE 'FIELD' RIFLE TRIALS. 1883.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl., sidelever opening, central rebounding hammer, non-selective ejector, plain action, retaining very slight traces of colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. figured pistolgrip stock including steel buttplate, Hackett-type snap-on splinter fore-end, weight 4lb. 8oz.
